Week 8 – blog task (Self-directed learning week)

This week there will be no seminars to attend as I will be busy marking your Pre-Production Project Presentations and writing you some feedback – we will treat this week as a Self Directed Learning Week!

Therefore, please can you spend your personal study time this week catching up with any missed learning over the last few weeks and updating your Blog Process Books with the weekly independent learning and materials in this document.

Also, please begin to practice filming or recording sound with your chosen device (smartphone, DSLR, or sound recorder), and study the results to understand how it works and what you can expect to make. 

I think podcast, the Chinese translation has not yet been unified, but most of them are translated into “Podcast”.  Podcasting is Ipod+broadcasting.  It is a kind of digital broadcasting technology, which was realized by combining a software called “iPodder” with some portable players in its early stage.  Podcasting records Internet radio or similar online audio programs. Netizens can download online radio programs to their iPod, MP3 player or other portable digital audio players to listen to them on the go, without sitting in front of the computer or listening in real time.  , Enjoy the freedom anytime, anywhere.  More meaningfully, you can also make your own sound program and upload it to the Internet to share with the majority of netizens.  I understand that Podcasts are audio, video, and PDF that can be subscribed to. Most podcasts are in English, but Chinese podcasts are rare. So if you want to see good content, you usually have to spend your brain to open the English listening mode.  People who make podcasts are often native speakers, and they usually spend time or even money (to buy professional microphone headsets and other equipment) to make these programs because they are particularly interested in something.  It’s all because of love.  It is precisely because of their love and the support of fans that their programs will get better and better.
